This practical education session helps participants recognize common fall risks, improve home safety awareness, and learn simple daily habits that may support safer independence at home.

Workshop Overview
Free Community Fall Safety Education
PR Home Care’s Fall Safety & Prevention Workshop is designed for senior communities, rehabilitation centers, churches, libraries, caregiver groups, wellness events, and lunch-and-learns across the Raleigh and Wake County area.
The session is practical, easy to follow, and focused on real-life home safety concerns. Participants receive follow-along handouts, room-by-room safety tips, and simple action steps they can use at home or with a loved one.
Sessions are flexible in length โ 30 to 45 minutes โ and can be tailored to fit your organization’s schedule and audience. No special equipment or preparation is required from your organization.
Please note: This workshop is for education only. It is not a medical evaluation, physical therapy session, diagnosis, or clinical fall-risk assessment. Participants with specific health concerns should consult their healthcare provider.

Safer Daily Movement Habits
Practical tips for moving through the home more safely โ getting up from chairs and beds, navigating at night, and managing transitions between rooms.
Footwear & Mobility Awareness
Learn how footwear choices and mobility aid awareness can significantly reduce fall risk during daily routines at home.
When to Speak Up
Recognize when to talk to a doctor, family member, or caregiver about falls, dizziness, weakness, or balance concerns โ and why early conversations matter.
How Families Can Help
Simple, practical steps families and caregivers can take to support safer independence at home โ without taking over or causing conflict.

This workshop is education-focused, not clinical. It is designed to complement โ not replace โ the guidance of your participants’ healthcare providers.
