A Note From Our Founder
After each of my three C-sections, I came home to the same reality — a body that had just been through major surgery and a home that still needed to run. I needed help with the housework, light meals, and errands like grocery shopping. I needed someone to watch the baby so I could actually sleep. And I needed someone to remind me to take my pain medication on time — because I kept forgetting until I was already hurting.
Everyone I would have called was working or unavailable. I managed, but I didn’t have to struggle the way I did. No new mother should.
That’s why postpartum support is now a core part of what we offer at PR Home Care. I built the service I wish I’d had — and I want every recovering mother in the Triangle to have access to it.
What Our Postpartum Support Includes
Our postpartum caregivers provide non-medical, hands-on support that allows you to focus on bonding with your baby and healing your body. Services include:
Newborn Support Assistance with newborn care so you can rest — including helping with feeding routines, diaper changes, and soothing so you can sleep when the baby sleeps.
Meal Preparation Nutritious, practical meals prepared in your home to support your physical recovery and keep your energy up during those demanding early weeks.
Light Housekeeping Laundry, dishes, tidying, and household organization so your home stays manageable while you focus on recovery.
Errand Support Grocery runs, pharmacy pickups, and other errands handled so you don’t have to leave home before you’re ready.
Emotional Companionship A calm, caring presence during a time that can feel isolating, overwhelming, and emotionally complex. We listen. We support. We show up consistently.
Sibling Support Help with older children so you can give your newborn the attention they need without your other kids feeling overlooked.
Postpartum Support Packages
All packages are weekly and can be adjusted as your needs change.
Recovery Starter
$250 per week | 10 hours Ideal for mothers who have some family support but need consistent, professional help with specific tasks. Perfect for the first few weeks after discharge.
Includes: meal preparation, light housekeeping, errand support, and newborn assistance during scheduled visits.
Postpartum Support
$490 per week | 20 hours Our most popular package. Designed for mothers who need daily support across multiple areas of recovery — from household management to newborn care to emotional companionship.
Includes: everything in Recovery Starter plus daily check-ins, sibling support, and expanded newborn care assistance.
Full Recovery Care
$725 per week | 30 hours Comprehensive support for mothers recovering from C-sections, complicated deliveries, or those without nearby family support. This package provides the most consistent, hands-on presence during your recovery.
Includes: everything in Postpartum Support plus priority scheduling, extended newborn overnight assistance options, and dedicated care coordination with your support team.
